- Literature review on consumer behaviour regarding food products; - Conduct empirical analysis to consumer behaviour using discrete choice models; - Extend production planning models to explicitly account for a MLOR (Minimum life on receipt) rule, defined by incorporating consumers' behavior at the end of the supply chain; - Develop optimization models, as well as heuristics and simulation models to solve the problem designed. - Conduct analysis of the impact of collaborative strategies between retailers and producers in the definition of a MLOR rule.
Master in Industrial Engineering and Management, Bioengineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or related areas.
Minimum profile required
Academic qualification with an average mark of 14/20 (or at least 70% of the maximum mark); Knowledge of Operations Research.
Experience and knowledge of programming; Previous participation in projects related to this area of work is a preferential factor; Good level of the English language.
