IoT traffic detection and avoidance

Work description

The fellow should implement an IoT traffic detection model and validate it with real captured and public domain traffic. The fellow should also explore traffic shaping mechanisms that make such detection fail, and validate the performance of the detector and avoidance detection mechanism. The work described in this plan requires the application and development of concepts and techniques in Electrical and Computer Engineering that are typically taught in the core courses of the study plan of Electrical and Computer Engineering masters degrees.

Academic Qualifications

Enrolled in a masters degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering

Minimum profile required

Knowledge of computer networks; programming experience; interest in network security activities

Preference factors

Experience with IoT devices, learning from data and distributed environments
