Work description

The fellow should obtain intrusion detection data for different target systems including IoT, as well as normal traffic. For that the fellow will have to 1) search public data sources on the Internet, and 2) collect traffic from known malware code running on sandbox environment or use open attack and penetration testing tools on targets in a controlled environment and collect resulting traffic. The fellow should also implement a storage and meta-information system for the captured data. The work described in this plan requires the application and development of concepts and techniques in Electrical and Computer Engineering that are typically taught in the core courses of the study plan of Electrical and Computer Engineering masters degrees.
