The second call of the DIVA project will finance 68 SMEs

The second edition of the SMEs support programme of the DIVA project, coordinated by INESC TEC’s Centre for Innovation, Technology and Entrepreneurship (CITE), selected 68 innovative tech-based projects in the agro-food, environment and forestry sectors – among 255 proposals from six countries (Portugal, Spain, France, Greece, Italy and Ireland).

The Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) approved five INESC TEC projects under the "RESEARCH FOR COVID-19" financing line, with the Institute as the applicant entity in three of said projects - and a total of €85M funding. These initiatives will focus on the development of solutions to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

INESC TEC presented Industry 4.0 cyber-physical Production Systems for Footwear

On January 29, INESC TEC presented the last works developed under the “Industry 4.0 Cyber-Physical Production Systems” and the “Extended Collaborative Platform for the Footwear Industry“.  Alongside the partners of the FAMEST project, the Institute demonstrated the potential of integrating i4.0 technologies in the operations and monitoring of footwear production.

INESC TEC presents recommendations for supply chains in 2030

During the final event of the NEXT-NET project, held in Brussels on December 17, INESC TEC presented the recommendations for supply chains in 2030. The recommendations are some of the outcomes of the project, which began in October 2017 and whose focus was increasing the production/distribution integration of supply chains, through a multisector and technological initiative aimed at defining research and innovation priorities for the future.
