INESC TEC’s Centre for Enterprise Systems Engineering (CESE) is one of the participants in the European project MARKET4.0, which aims to develop a European online platform dedicated to selling industrial equipment and associated digital services, while testing and validating the importance of these new sales channels in B2B flows, namely in the plastics and metal sectors.

Ricardo Barbosa, researcher at the Centre for Robotics in Industry and Intelligent Systems (CRIIS), received the "ABB Award", awarded by ABB (Asea Brown Boveri) SA, within the scope of his thesis Odometry and Extrinsic Sensor Calibration on Mobile Robots.

INESC TEC's Centre for Industrial Robotics and Intelligent Systems (CRIIS) will develop an innovative robot to carry out the control and maintenance of row and inter-row vegetation in vineyards/olive groves - which will later be tested through a pilot at a longer timescale. The pilot will be carried out under the European project NOVATERRA, which aims to ensure greater food security, promoting the access to healthier food and minimising the impact of the use of pesticides on the environment.
