RISC2 project acknowledged by international journal specialised in advanced computing

The RISC2 project, which aims to promote and improve the relationship between research and innovation communities in Europe and Latin America, won the HPCwire Editor’s Choice Awards in the category of Best HPC Collaboration.

The project was acknowledged at the annual HPCwire Readers’ and Editors’ Choice Awards, presented at the International Conference for High Performance Computing, Networking, and Analysis (SC22) in Dallas, Texas. INESC TEC researchers António Luís Sousa, Ricardo Vilaça and Rui Oliveira attended the award ceremony at this international conference.

The project is leveraging scientific cooperation for innovation in Europe and Latin America, focusing on HPC applications and infrastructure implementation, enabling an exchange of best practices in HPC between the two regions and strengthening the community in this field.

With INESC TEC and the University of Coimbra representing Portugal, RISC2 is led by the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, and it features 16 partners from 12 countries in Europe and Latin America.
