INESC TEC researcher wins EurOMA Young Scholar Networking Grant

Ricardo Zimmermann, researcher at INESC TEC’s Centre for Enterprise Systems Engineering (CESE), received the Young Scholar Networking Grant from the European Operations Management Association(EurOMA).

20th July 2020

The Young Scholar Networking grant is a strategic initiative awarded by EurOMA, aiming to support young researchers who have been working as Ph.Ds. up to six years. In addition, it also focuses on promoting new relationships between researchers at the beginning of their careers, namely in the European operations andsupply chain management community.

The project “Balance of power in SMEs Digital Supply Chains”, led by Ricardo Zimmerman and developed with Jaime Bonnin Roca, from Eindhoven University of Technology, and Anabela Soares, of Bristol Business School, was selected among applications by 35 institutions from 16 countries and four continents. The team will present the results at the next edition of the EurOMA conference, which will talke place next year, in Berlin (Germany).

According to Ricardo Zimmermann, this award “is a great honour and delight”. “The importance of EurOMA for my research field, and the way the evaluation process took place (all credit goes to the team and the project) makes this award a recognition of the work that we have developed over recent years”, added the researcher.

Moreover, this acknowledgement was announced at the closing session of the 27th EurOMA Conference, held online by the University of Warwick, England, between June 29 and 30.
