About

The Agriculture and Forestry R&D line has a 10-year road-map, considering the Portuguese reality (needs and desires) and the European Robotics agenda. It is focused on three application topics:

  • Permanent Crops (Steep Slope Vineyards),
  • Forest biomass harvesting,
  • Greenhouses (urban and traditional).  

The main goal is to develop cost-effective visual-based sensors, manipulators and small machinery with advanced localisation, mapping, control and perception algorithms (where technology transfer may occur).

The laboratory was created in 2014 and is used by 10 researchers from CRIIS.
